Very rare types for Honorius. The types below are very seldom seen for Honorius.

Type 12:
AE4.  VICTORIA AVGGG
Victory advancing left with wreath and palm
375-395
[No image for Honorius. Here is one for Theodosius:]

Theodosius
14 mm. 0.97 grams.
RIC IX Siscia 39b2

This reverse is highly unusual for Honorius, Valens, and Gratian. It is rare, but typical, for Eugenius. It is common in excellent condition from Siscia for Valentinian II and Theodosius.

Go to the page on this type, Type 12.

Type 44:  AE4 (12-13mm).  VICTORIA AVGG  ["GG", not "GGG"]
Victory advancing left with wreath and palm.
395

[No image. Very similar in appearance to Type 12, immediately above, but with GG instead of GGG. ]

RIC X p. 329-330, "395".

RIC IX, Trier 107 footnote, page 34, plate III.20.  But, the photo does not clearly show "GG" as opposed to "GGG". One of each of Arcadius and Honorius seen by Pearce, who thinks this type is probably the same as Type 12, but possibly dated immediately after the death of Theodosius, leaving only Arcadius and Honorius as Augusti. Pearce did not assign it an RIC number, probably because it would technically be in RIC X, not IX. Kent did put it in RIC X, as listed above.  Go to the page on this type, Type 44.

Type 53:  AE3.  GLORIA ROMANORVM
Emperor standing, holding labarum and resting left hand on shield
411 (or 413)  [DO]

Only for Honorius. Very rare. No image.

RIC X 1361, "legend invariably garbled" p. 339, 340.

Go to the page on this type, Type 53.
