PANNONIAE

Trajan Decius, 249-251. 23-12 mm. 4.13 grams. Antoninianus.
PANNONIAE, with the two Pannonia standing, each wearing a long robe and holding a standard.
The region corresponds to present-day Hungary and parts of Austria, Croatia, Slovenis, and Slovakia, including the later mint cities of Siscia and Sirmium. The Danube bounded it to the north and east. The two Pannoniae were Upper (Superior, to the west, upstream) and Lower (Inferior, to the east, downstream).
