Hybrid. Clear design, but almost no silver.

Most silver, portrait of good style, but not much like Maximinus -- more like Philip.

Prototype: RIC 13 "First legend, March 235 - c. January 236".  BMC 15, plate 33.15. An "irregular" coin as this, BMC 245, but no photo.

Black cast. Seam and filing visible on edge. No silvering.
IMP MAXIMINVS PIVS AVG, laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust right
    PROVIDENTIA AVG, Providentia standing left, holding baton over globe, and holding cornucopia.

PROVIDENTIA AVG  18mm. 6:00. 2.00 grams.

Glossy gray metal.  
Prototype as above.

SALVS AVGVSTI  20mm. 6:00. 3.22 grams.

Large flan, with official style and weight, but in brassy metal. It has the typical softness of a cast. Although cast, the edge shows no sign of a seam.
