Links: AAG, Christie's, CNG, Freeman and Sear, Gorny, Lanz, Leu, Malter, M&M, Myers/Adams, NAC, NFA, Peus, Sotheby's, Sternberg, Tkalec, Vinchon, Waddell
Key: PR = prices realized. In general, the auction catalogs have the PR, unless otherwise noted.
^ = missing PR fp = fixed price mbs = mail bid sale (usually not noted) HC = hardcover
* [Ignore asterisks. An asterisk is is just a note for me about where I filed the catalog.]
xx = the list for that dealer is not yet completed
~ = The non-ancient pages have been torn out to save space. (The catalog was originally of almost no value and too bulky.)
gray = had at one time, but removed from collection (usually for lack of good photographs of interesting coins and sometimes because I sold them)
For Jewish and Holyland see also "Amphora" box.
Search this page with "Ctrl-F".
I only want catalogs that strongly emphasize ancient coins. I don't have the shelf space to spare for many catalogs with ancients that are outnumbered by more modern coins.

Jacquier lists with ancients other than the ones I have. I have: 5, Fall 1986, 8, 12-17 (Fall 1995), 20-22, 24-27 (Spring, 2000 to Fall 2001), 28 (art*, 2001), 29, 31 (Fall, 2003), 33 (Fall 2005), 34 (Summer 2006), 38-41, 42 (special topics, Postumus*), 43, 44, 45. 46 (Gallienus* and later ants, Philippe Gysen, part II)

I would like any others with strong selections of ancient Roman coins.
Notes: IV, XII, and XV have some ancient gold.
I do not want: XX, XXIII, XXIV, XXVII, XXIX, 22, 26, 27, 29, 30, 31, 33, 34, 36, 40, 42, 50, 56, 60, 63, because I think they do not have ancient coins.
For Niggler, see "Leu/M&M"

Heidelberger Munzhandlung. 8 1/4" by 10 5/8" thick, glossy catalogs, mostly European coins. The ancients are mostly below $100, with a few special coins. Typically about 6 coins photographed per page of text, quite a few with enlargements (but, only because of high grade, not because they are highly valuable), and they average about 2 color plates per catalog (usually of the European coins). Many coins are not photographed, so I mention the number of pages rather than the number of lots. These are heavy catalogs and ancient coins form only a small percentage of the coins. Each is a typical mix of Greek, Roman Republican, some Roman provincial, and Roman imperial. Many of the coins (especially the Roman Imperial) are simply common types, beneath the quality that CNG would bother to offer in a catalog.
